Company Improvement
I am considering whether to use six sigma consulting and lean manufacturing principles in the running of my business. I have recently learnt about them and they seem like really good methods to run a successful business. I have not yet decided on quite how to apply the techniques to my company, I have given it some thought but have not had that much time. I am not sure whether to employ a company to come in and help us, teach the staff and generally show us how to apply the principles to the company. I could just do it myself, after learning about it in more details, but I know that I am likely to be really busy and so this would probably go on the back burner and never get completed. I do think that at the moment, the company is doing well and while we have the money to invest in a company to help us then it would be a good idea to go ahead. It may seem odd that I want to do this when the company is doing well, but I am always striving to do better. There seem to be quite a few companies that do this sort of thing and I will investigate this by looking at what companies they have worked with and how successful they are. I have decided to delegate that task so that I know it will be done quickly and then hopefully we will find a good company and be able to push on with things. I am sure that this can only have a positive outcome for the company and that it will help push us towards being the leaders in our field. It is a very exciting prospect and I cannot wait for things to start.
